. thanks so much for joining us on this thursday, the 24th of march. i'm sydnie kohara. >> hi, everybody. i'm frank mallicoat. it is 4:30. and as sidney just said, we are going to get hit again, 13 straight days of rain -- or 12 straight days of rain and this next storm is a doozy. >> this i a doozy. we haven't had much of a break from the last one. we are talking about all that rain. urban and small stream flood advisories this morning, expecting creeks and rivers to rise in a hurry as the storm system moves on. wind advisory going into effect, expecting gusts to 45 miles an hour. you can see some downed power lines and trees. here it is. it's just about to move onshore. if you can get out right now and get to work, it's time to do it. but look at this green wall of rain that's about to move onshore. that's going to pick up throughout the morning hours. i think the brunt of this comes through in the morning. the heaviest amounts of rainfall and then we'll start to taper off to showers heading in toward the afternoon. but before then, we could see as much as 3" of rain in some of the wettes

for that flooding around the bay area. >>> good morning, everyone. thanks so much for joining us on this wednesday, the 23rd day of march. i'm sydnie kohara. >> hi, everybody. i'm frank mallicoat. happy wednesday. time now 4:30. 11 straight days of rain and more on the way. cbs 5 is on stormwatch today. >> elizabeth wenger is standing by at the bay bridge but first we'll check in with -- look at elizabeth with the hat on. it's raining out there. let's go to lawrence in the weather center first tracking the storm. hold on. >> almost feel guilty. those folks in the rain here's the weather guy in the nice cozy studio and folks, we have a lot of rain out there, flash flood watches up along the coastline. some of the rain coming down heavy so because of that we're watching out for the possibility of flooding. things have been very, very wet out toward the coastline all night. it started to move onshore and you can see boy, wow, look at the north bay getting pounded with heavier rainfall here in through santa rosa, san rafael, san francisco, and you can see the rain spreading in and across the bay. it's

morning. it is tuesday, the 22nd of march. thanks for joining us. i'm sydnie kohara. >> hi, everybody. i'm frank mallicoat. happy tuesday. it is 4:30. we have a very special guest doing weather today straight off the mountain. >> yeah. >> stuck for a little while. >> you are back. julie we got a break in the rain but more storms are on the way and now that firsthand. >> absolutely. unfortunately, or fortunately, i got snowed in sunday night in tahoe. so made it back about, oh, eight hours to get back from tahoe to san francisco. this is what we like to call the calm before the storm. we do have some light scattered showers this morning ahead of an approaching warm front. it's just in time for the evening commute that will likely see heavier rainfall. we'll talk about that and an even bigger soaker thursday. all that coming up but first let's check the roads with gianna. >> live look at the bay bridge toll plaza. we had a couple of early- morning accidents. everything completely cleared out of the road but we have a wind advisory in effect for the bay bridge so two hands on the wheel this

us. did i say friday? it is friday! >> three times already. >> i'm sydnie kohara. >> it's a blessed event i think for everybody. hi, everybody. i'm frank mallicoat. time is 4:30. what a mess. we got hit with a big storm yesterday and round two about to hit us and you saw some of the video down in capitola. what's going on here, mr. lawrence? >> i think folks are ready to be done with that. we have also had mud slides this one in fairfax along sir francis drake boulevard. the mud is coming down the hills there. folks, we're just so saturated now with all the rainfall, of course, rainfall totals all above the average now. and we continue to see more rain this morning. now, it looks like we didn't have a well defined cold front so that's some good news but we're still seeing scattered showers and some of them are coming down very heavy. look at this line stretching in from san francisco into parts of the east bay. that's a heavy line of storms moving on through and driving through that a little bit early on this morning bringing with it heavy amounts of rainfall through walnut creek an
